What is File Dentist?
File Dentist is a SaaS platform that allows dentists and dental technicians to collaborate securely. You can create work teams, manage digital prescriptions, share and view 3D files and more, communicate via chat and keep everything organized in one place.
Who is File Dentist for?
File Dentist is designed for dentists, dental labs, milling centers, 3D printing centers and CAD designers. It's ideal for anyone who wants to eliminate paper and have a more efficient digital workflow.
Do I need to install anything?
No, File Dentist is a web app accessible from any browser. You don't need to install anything on your computer. The only exception is the Blender plugin (optional) for those using Blender.
Pricing and Payments
How much does File Dentist cost?
For dental technicians, milling centers and CAD designers, File Dentist is completely free with 10GB storage. For dentists, plans start at €19/month (VAT included) with the Starter plan (30GB). The Professional plan costs €39/month (60GB).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. You'll have access until the end of the already paid period. No penalties or cancellation fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
Collaborators and Teams
What are collaborators?
Collaborators are professionals you can work with on File Dentist. Once connected, you can add them to your teams to collaborate on prescriptions.
How do I invite a collaborator?
Go to the Collaborators section, click "Invite" and enter your colleague's email. If they're already registered, they'll be automatically added to your collaborators. If not yet registered, they'll receive an email invitation to sign up.
Can a collaborator see my patients and prescriptions?
No, being collaborators only allows you to see each other in the list. To work together you need to be part of the same team. Patients remain visible only to the prescriber, while other team members can only see patient data by opening a prescription they're linked to.
What is a team?
A team is a work group made up of a prescriber (dentist), a manufacturer (dental technician) and other members. Within the team you can collaborate on prescriptions, share files and communicate via chat.
Who can create a team?
Anyone can create a team. If you're a dentist, create the team and become the prescriber. If you're a dental technician, create the team and invite a dentist to set as prescriber.
Do I need to be a collaborator with someone before adding them to a team?
Yes, to invite someone to a team you must first be connected as a collaborator. Simply invite them from the Collaborators section by entering their email.
How many collaborators and teams can I have?
There's no limit. All plans include unlimited collaborators and teams.
Security and Privacy
Is File Dentist GDPR compliant?
Yes, File Dentist is fully GDPR compliant (EU Regulation 2016/679). We implement all fundamental principles: data minimization, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored on AWS servers in Europe (Frankfurt, Germany), ensuring compliance with European data residency regulations.
Are files encrypted?
Yes, all files are encrypted with AES-256 both in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.3) and at rest on servers. It's the same standard used by banks and governments.
Blender Plugin
Is the Blender plugin free?
Yes, the Blender plugin is included free with all File Dentist subscription plans. No extra costs.
Which Blender version is required?
The plugin requires Blender 4.2 or later. Earlier versions don't support the integrated repository system for extensions.
What file formats does the plugin support?
The plugin supports: .blend (Blender native), .stl, .obj, .fbx, .ply, .gltf, .glb and .dae. Other file types are not shown in the plugin but are accessible from the web app.
